SOLUTION
Floship worked with Tushy to divert inventory to their Hong Kong warehouse, allowing them to quickly ship their products around the world. Due to Tushy’s large demand and the limitations of COVID-19, Tushy faced challenges in getting their products to their customers.
Tushy had initially planned to work with Hongkong Post as their shipping service; however, because they leveraged existing commercial carriers to transport products, they were forced to shut down when these flights were grounded due to the pandemic. Their Floship account manager recommended using FedEx instead, as they have their own fleet and are not dependent on other commercial aircraft. Floship then proceeded to negotiate the best rates with FedEx.
Unfortunately, FedEx was unable to take all of Tushy’s inventory at once, sometimes only accepting a tenth of what Tushy needed to ship. Every day for several weeks, Floship tirelessly worked with FedEx on Tushy’s behalf to secure more space on each flight, eventually getting all of Tushy’s inventory shipped.
Whatever Tushy needed, the Floship team was available to troubleshoot with them in real-time. They assigned Tushy a developer to communicate with in Slack, meaning Tushy had direct access to the people who knew how to solve their problems.
RESULT
With Floship, Tushy has so far been able to fulfill over 100,000 orders worldwide accounting for eight digits of revenue, not to mention customer satisfaction and retention as a result of avoiding unreasonably long delivery times. Working with Floship has also saved Tushy on import duty and taken the stress out of international shipping.
Floship is still supporting Tushy, handling their international shipping to countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, and the UK, and acting as an overflow facility for the US. Tushy hopes to find more ways to take advantage of Floship’s abilities.
